Roundup: More drama for Stanford-USC rivalry?
The national game of the week takes Brent Musburger and crew to the Coliseum for the Stanford-USC clash. Stanford has won the last four in this series, but the last three have come down to the wire. Are we in store for more drama for the USC-Stanford rivalry? ICYMI, USC men’s basketball bested Cal State Northridge 95-79 last night, and here is Andy Enfield talking about his first win as Trojan head honcho.
As for those Farm Boys… The folks at ESPN stats & info believe that Stanford’s résumé is deserving of a national title shot. ESPN’s new Championship Drive Ratings have the Card rated No. 2 (and Arizona State is the second-highest Pac-12 team at No. 6).
More North-South fun: The Forks have a big game against Oregon State this weekend, and Todd Graham thinks Brandin Cooks is a “dangerous” player.
He better have a good game plan to defend Cookie, because it sure sounds like Oregon State is “cooking up some stuff” to get Brandin Cooks more involved.

He certainly didn’t look 100 percent against Stanford, but Marcus Mariota says his knee isn’t an issue as he gears up for a date with Utah on Saturday.
Well, this is good news if you are of the Bear Down type: Arizona wide receiver Austin Hill is cleared to test his knee in practice. He has been out since the spring after surgery on a torn knee ligament, but there is still no timetable on when he will return for game action.

These fellas can’t be on this countdown anymore, but Lost Lettermen lists the 2008 Utah team as the second-best BCS buster of all-time. The Utes went 13-0 and hammered ‘Bama in the Sugar Bowl (last team to beat the Tide in a bowl game). The 2004 Utes are No. 4 on the list.

In more hardwood action last night, Cal men’s hoops dismantled Denver 77-50, but more importantly, Justin Cobbs is OK after an injury scare in the rout. He appeared to hurt his left knee in the second half, but it sounds like he will play in the Golden Bears’ next game Friday vs. Oakland.
The 2013 Pac-12 results have been all too similar to the 2012 conference games for the Buffs, but Mike MacIntyre says this Colorado team is better than last year.
