Arizona

Good feature here from Bruce Pascoe of the Arizona Daily Star on Arizona forward Aaron Gordon’s week in New York leading up to the NBA draft and how his sister Elise (a recent Harvard grad) is planning it out for him.

Stanford

Check out SLAM Magazine’s draft profile of Josh Huestis. The author of the article, Rodger Bohn, believes the former Card can be a three-and-D guy in the NBA. Huestis could certainly hear his name called in the second round Thursday.

Oregon

Dominic Artis, Brandon Austin and Damyean Dotson have been suspended from the Oregon campus as students for a minimum of four years (and a maximum of 10) as a result of the alleged sexual assault of an Oregon student in March.

USC

Jeff Eisenberg of Yahoo! Sports thinks that USC’s four-year scholarships will give the Trojans an edge in recruiting.

Arizona State

ESPN Pac-12 Blog contributor extraordinaire Kevin Gemmell tells us that Arizona State offensive lineman Jamil Douglas is making the most of his second chance. As a freshman, Douglas was suspended for stealing an Xbox and laptops from another player’s dorm. Since then, however, Douglas has really turned it around: He already has his undergraduate degree, is working on his master’s and will represent the Sun Devils at Pac-12 Football Media Days as an all-Pac-12 performer on the field and in the classroom.

Oregon State

Nice story from The Oregonian on the Beavers’ new director of men’s basketball operations Kurt Paulson enjoying the chance to continue working with Oregon State head coach Wayne Tinkle. Paulson was an assistant under Tinkle at Montana and was announced as the OSU D-ops Monday.

Colorado

Averaging 12 points per game is very solid, but Colorado women’s basketball forward Jen Reese is trying to become even more of a threat, reports Brian Howell.

Utah

Los Angeles Angels designated hitter C.J. Cron is probably going to see more time at the plate, thinks the Deseret News. The former Ute has homered in three straight games entering Tuesday.

Washington

Hey there, Bryan Fischer. The former Pac-12 Digital senior correspondent is now writing for NFL.com, which is the platform he used to say that Washington football coach Chris Petersen is the second-best coach in college football, trailing only Nick Saban. David Shaw and Mike Riley also make the list.

UCLA

UCLA welcomed its freshmen football players to campus as they moved in to their new digs. Shout out to former Serra Padre Matt Dickerson #WCALPride.

California

Recent Cal men’s tennis player Ben McLachlan is playing in futures tournaments in Japan and having success. As a senior this year, McLachlan reached the quarterfinals of the NCAA singles championship.

Washington State

The Cougar Athletic Fund gives us a look at Washington State football player Jeremiah Allison’s road to Wazzu.
