Video: Storm Woods breaks out in Oregon State's opener

Aug 30, 2014

After rushing for just 1,277 yards in 2013, getting more production from their running backs was one of Oregon’s State’s primary objectives coming into the 2014 season. Junior running back Storm Woods got Oregon State's ground game off to a healthy start in their season opener against Portland State Saturday on Pac-12 Networks, rushing for 126 yards on 16 carries in a  29-14 win for the Beavers.

Though he did most of his damage on the ground, Woods would make his biggest play of the day through the air when he grabbed a screen pass from Sean Mannion and took it to the end zone for a 23-yard score to stretch out Oregon State’s lead in the third quarter.
