It’s official now – Arizona basketball forward Brandon Ashley declared for the NBA draft. The Wildcats were an impressive 94-17 in his three years in Tucson.

Utah basketball coach Larry Kyrstkowiak agreed to a contract extension through the 2022-23 season, and he’ll now make $2.4 million per year. Good stuff.

Colorado men’s basketball has a plan to deal with Jaron Hopkins transferring out of the program, writes Brian Howell. Colorado announced Hopkins’ intentions to transfer on Wednesday.

Doug Haller writes that Bobby Hurley is becoming a strong candidate for the Arizona State basketball head coaching job. Hurley is 42-20 in two years at Buffalo, leading the Bulls to the NCAA tournament this season.

Cal’s Ryan Murphy was named Pac-12 Men’s Swimmer of the Year, the conference announced Wednesday. The sophomore won NCAA and conference titles in the 100 and 200 backstroke.
