NCAA women's golf regionals: Pac-12 holds top 3 spots at St. George after two rounds

After day two of the NCAA Women's Golf Championship regionals, at least six Pac-12 teams are in championship contention. USC, Stanford and California are currently 1-2-3 in the St. George regional, with the top six teams in each regional advancing to the national championship. For complete results, visit golfstatresults.com.

St. George Regional (Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club – St. George, Utah)

The No. 1-ranked Trojans continued their dominance on the second day of competition in Utah. After shooting an eight-over on Friday, USC sits at 17 over par and in first place, 11 strokes ahead of second-place Stanford. Junior Annie Park finished Friday with an even 71 and is plus-one overall, moving her up three spots to first in the individual field.

Day two was a big one for the Cardinal, which moved up three spots as a team to stand in second place. Stanford tied USC for the round-best eight-over par and sit at 28-over through the first two rounds. Individually, Shannon Aubert helped carry her team. Aubert shot two-under (69) for the day, Stanford's first below-par score of the regional. Her big day helped move her up 14 spots and into second in the individual competition. 

Cal dropped one spot on Friday after shooting plus-21 to finish at plus-34 after day two. That puts the Bears tied with Arkansas for third at the St. George Regional. Junior Paulina Lorlier shot six-over, putting her tied for fourth in the individual race heading into the final day of competition. 

Washington State's individual golfer Alivia Brown is hanging tough as the only Cougar representative. She shot a plus-six, however, to drop her from second into a tie for twelfth after two days.

Colorado improved its score on day two but fell one spot to 15th overall. After shooting 32-over on Thursday, the Buffs shot just 24-over on Friday. Esther Lee moved up two spots into a tie for 24th on the individual side.

South Bend Regional (Warren Golf Course – South Bend, Indiana)

Arizona kept up consistent play during round two, shooting four-over. However, with the strong play of the other teams, it dropped the Wildcats to fourth place and nine strokes behind first-place Duke. Lindsey Weaver had a solid day for Arizona, moving up two spots to third after shooting two-under (70). 

San Antonio Regional (Briggs Ranch Golf Club – San Antonio, Texas)

After a 2.5-hour weather delay, Washington had another strong day on the course, shooting seven-under and moving into third place. After day two, the Huskies are 14-under and sit just five strokes out of first. Sophomore Eimi Koga had a spectacular day, finishing five-under (67) with three birdies and an eagle. She's now in a five-way tie for fourth.

UCLA dropped from second into a tie for fourth on Friday after finishing the day two-under. Bronte Law made the move up for the Bruins, shooting four-under for the second straight day. She's now tied for second and just one shot behind leader Hayley Davis from Baylor.

The Sun Devils will need to make a move on Saturday if they want to make their record 24th-straight NCAA Championship appearance. Through two days, they're two-over and sit in eighth place. They had a strong showing on Friday, shooting six-under and starting the back nine with seven birdies.

The Ducks are still in the hunt to make the NCAA Championship, but they'll have some work to do as well. After Friday's round, Oregon is in ninth, three-over par, and eight strokes out of the sixth and final spot. Freshman Kelsey Ulep continued to impress, shooting three-under (68) for the second straight day. She's currently tied for fourth.

Competing as an individual for the Beavers, Anica Yoo climbed up the leaderboard on Friday. She shot three-under for the day, which moved her to five-under total. It also helped her move from 14th place up into ninth.
