Well that was fun, Utah fan. The Utes won their first Pac-12 conference opener in impressive fashion (understatement of the century), whipping the Ducks 62-20 in Eugene. The win has Whittingham and Co. up to No. 10 in the country, but Dan Wetzel and Pat Forde wonder why Utah isn’t ranked No. 1 in their latest podcast. And, ICYMI, here’s Boobie Hobbs’ 69-yard punt return for a touchdown that fooled out the Ducks and the FOX camera operator. Oh those tricky Utes.

Josh Rosen looked like J-Chosen again after a couple of freshman-esque weeks, throwing for 284 yards and two scores to lead the Bruins to a 56-30 trumping of Arizona in Tucson. George Schroeder of USA Today writes that Rosen is part of the Bruins’ long-term plans.

Leading the Golden Bears to a 30-24 win at Washington that has the Golden Bears in the national rankings for the first time since 2010 (coaches’ poll) and 4-0 for the first time since 2007, Jared Goff is the projected No. 2 pick in the 2016 NFL draft by NFLDraftScout.com senior analyst Dane Brugler (of course, he could come back for his senior season).
