Roundup: Stanford looks to make it 8 straight against UCLA

Stanford

More Thursday night football for ya, well, Thursday night, as No. 15 Stanford hosts No. 18 UCLA in a battle of one-loss teams (7:30 p.m. PT, ESPN). Josh Dubow of the Associated Press writes that Stanford looks to make it eight straight against UCLA. Jim Mora has never beaten the Cardinal while at UCLA.

UCLA

Meanwhile, David Lombardi wonders if Stanford-UCLA is a College Football Playoff elimination game. No two-loss team made the CFP last year, so the loser could very well be out of it.

Arizona

Surprise, surprise – Arizona is picked to win the Pac-12 in men’s basketball. Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Media Day is Thursday.
