USC

So the Rams are coming back to Los Angeles (and perhaps the Chargers will join them), and the Los Angeles Times writers Kevin Baxter and Gary Klein make the case for relocating teams to play at the Coliseum for the time being. Daniel Kaplan of Sports Business Journal reports that USC will allow two NFL teams to play at the Coliseum. This would be a huge financial windfall for USC, which needs to raise $270 million for proposed renovations.

UCLA

UCLA football announced some staffing changes Wednesday morning, includinging the addition of Marques Tuiasosopo as quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator and Rip Scherer as tight ends coach, as well as the promotion of Kennedy Polamalu to offensive coordinator. Also, wide receiver Thomas Duarte is heading to the NFL draft, according to Joey Kaufman of The Orange County Register. Here’s what Duarte had to say on Twitter:

Pac-12

The Pac-12 announced Tuesday that it tabled a proposal to allow student-athlete business owners to use their names to promote those businesses as long as they aren’t related to athletics.

Utah

Utah basketball coach Larry Krystkowiak defended his decision to cancel the 2016 game with BYU to reporters earlier in the week. The decision stems from BYU guard Nick Emery striking Utah guard Brandon Taylor and (allegedly) telling him to stay down.

Arizona

Bruce Pascoe writes that Arizona coach Sean Miller will shuffle the rotation with Allonzo Trier out. Forward Mark Tollefsen is expected to play a much larger role, for starters, and freshman Justin Simon is likely to see more minutes as well.

Arizona State

Zac Pacleb of Cronkite Sports writes about how Arizona State men’s basketball is still searching for its first Pac-12 victory. Pacleb previews an impending matchup with Josh Hawkinson and Washington State and gives us other tidbits on the team.

Washington

Washington basketball coach Lorenzo Romar talked about facing Arizona, his team’s 3-0 start and other topics in his press conference Tuesday. Christian Caple has the transcription.

Colorado

There’s no doubt about it – Oregon State guard Gary Payton II is a matchup nightmare for Colorado men’s basketball (and every other team the Beavers face). The Beavs and Buffs play Wednesday night in Boulder (8 p.m. PT/9 p.m. MT, ESPNU).

California

Cal men’s basketball is looking to limit turnovers, writes Connor Letourneau. The Golden Bears turned it over 34 times combined during the 0-2 trip to Oregon.

Stanford

John Reid of the Palo Alto Daily News opines that Stanford women’s basketball can get a lift from its freshmen. Marta Sniezek and Alanna Smith have been solid this year in their first year on The Farm.

Oregon State

Watch highlights from new Oregon State defensive coordinator Kevin Clune’s introductory press conference. The former Utah State defensive coordinator will also coach Oregon State linebackers.

Oregon

Oregon baseball is ranked No. 12 in the Perfect Game preseason poll, Tyson Alger points out. The Ducks were ranked 14th by Collegiate Baseball and D1Baseball.com.

Washington State

Kevin Gemmell discusses Washington State quarterback Luke Falk’s performance against Oregon – six touchdowns, 505 yards passing and no interceptions in 45-38 double-overtime win in Eugene.
