Barbara Jordan joins Pac-12 Networks on-air softball roster

SAN FRANCISCO (February 24, 2016) – The 2016 Pac-12 softball season is underway, and Pac-12 Networks is excited to return a slew of broadcast veterans and add Barbara Jordan to its on-air talent list.

Jordan joins Pac-12 Networks as a softball analyst. Since 2010, she has covered softball as an analyst for college and professional softball on ESPN, Fox Sports, RSN, CSS, the ACC Network, Cox Sports, CBS Sports Net and MLB.com. As a player, Barbara was a member of Team USA for eight seasons including the 1996 Olympic Squad, winning multiple national and international gold medals and championships including the World Championships and Pan American Games. In amateur softball, Barbara also won five U.S. National Championships in Amateur Softball Association competition (ASA) and an Australian National Championship. In the collegiate sphere, she was a three-time NCAA National Champion while playing centerfield and leading off at Cal State Northridge and was a three-time NCAA Division II All American. She was also named to the NCAA Division II 25-year Anniversary team in 2006. As a professional, Barbara became the first U.S. National Team member to go into the professional ranks of the WPSL. Jordan continued developing and implementing her expertise as a Division I College Coach for 10 years at Cal State Northridge and as a member of the USA Softball coaching staff from 2004-12. She is a member of the Cal State University, Northridge Hall of Fame and is the only member of the 1996 Olympic Softball Team that did not compete at a Division I University. Barbara has covered the NPF since 2010 on both radio and television.

Pac-12 Networks is set to televise 80 softball games this season. Each Pac-12 team will be featured at least 10 times on the Networks: Arizona (20), Arizona State (21), California (17), Oregon (17), Oregon State (12), Stanford (14), UCLA (17), Utah (17) and Washington (17).
