Washington

This is a little old (five days), but is Washington ready to contend in the Pac-12? That’s the question Zac Ellis and Lindsay Schnell tackle in the Sports Illustrated College Football Podcast, and they enlist Adam Jude of The Seattle Times to help break things down.

Stanford

How about this? Stanford baseball’s Quinn Brodey hit a game-winning inside-the-park home run to beat Arizona Sunday in Tucson. The Cardinal avoided a series sweep thanks to that dinger.

UCLA

UCLA women’s gymnastics finished fifth at the NCAA Championships, appearing in its first Super Six in three years. Congrats to Oklahoma for winning the national title.

Arizona State

With the spring session wrapped up in Tempe, Doug Haller tells us what we learned from Arizona State football spring practice this year. Nothing decided on the quarterback front, as expected; Manny Wilkins, Brady White and Bryce Perkins are the contenders.

California

Freshman wide receiver Melquise Stovall was the star of Cal’s spring scrimmage, reports Jeff Faraudo. He caught seven passes for 128 yards and two scores in the scrimmage.

Utah

Following a bye week, Utah baseball is still in first place in the Pac-12 (The Salt Lake Tribune), holding a half-game lead over Washington and Cal and one-game lead over Stanford and Oregon.

Arizona

Arizona softball is on an eight-game winning streak after sweeping Stanford over the weekend, most recently run-ruling the Cardinal 8-0 in five innings on Sunday. The ‘Cats have also defeated Stanford 10 straight times dating back to 2013.

Colorado

Colorado lacrosse defeated Cal in the midst of a snowstorm Sunday by a 16-4 count. It was the Buffs’ first-ever senior day (it’s the program’s third year of existence).

Oregon State

Here’s a Pac-12 Sports Report snippet of the 2006 Oregon State national championship baseball team reuniting at a Beavers game. Check out the whole story on Sports Report Monday night at 8 p.m. PT/9 MT.

Oregon

Chantel Jennings opines that running back is still a big strength for Oregon football. Royce Freeman gets most of the shine, but don’t forget about Taj Griffin, Kani Benoit and Tony Brooks-James.
