Roundup: Cal volleyball player undergoes successful liver transplant

California

Cal volleyball player Savannah Rennie underwent a successful liver transplant, her mother announced online Tuesday. Connor Letourneau informs us that Rennie was diagnosed with a liver disease that is most commonly found in infants and the elderly, and complications from the disease forced her to get a transplant. If all goes well with her follow-up appointments over the next three months, she will come back to Berkeley and become the first liver transplant recipient to play Division I women’s volleyball.
