California

Get money, baby – Allen Crabbe signed a 4-year, $75 million offer sheet with the Brooklyn Nets. The Blazers have three days to match the offer. Gotta love these NBA paydays.

USC

Sweetness – former USC Trojan (and just as important in some circles, former Santa Cruz Warrior) Dewayne Dedmon agreed to a 2-year, $6 million deal with the San Antonio Spurs (hat tip to Shams Charania). Heck of an athlete and a really good dude (and maybe the most interesting story in college basketball in the last 5-10 years).

Stanford

The Stanford men’s teams won the Capital One Cup, while the women’s teams finished in second behind USC. It is the first such honor on the men’s side for the Card.

Colorado

Former Buff runner Emma Coburn won the women’s steeplechase final Thursday night at the U.S. Olympic Trials, earning her a spot in Rio.

Oregon State

Oregon State second baseman Nick Madrigal was named a first team Freshman All-American by D1Baseball.com this week. He hit a whopping .333 this season en route to Pac-12 Freshman of the Year honors.

Arizona State

Doug Haller reports that Arizona State VP of athletics Ray Anderson wants a new approach from Todd Graham with respect to how he talks up his team in the media. Graham usually talks about competing for championships, but Anderson wants “to talk less and deliver more… We’ll be minimum on the bravado.”

Washington

Earlier in the week, Washington women’s golfer Ying Luo was named a WGCA All-American Scholar for the fourth-straight year. National championship and college degree in the same year? Check emoji.

Washington State

Four Washington State women’s basketball players will play in the U-20 European Championships – Pinelopi Pavlopoulou (Greece), Maria Kostourkova (Portugal), Borislava Hristova (Bulgaria) and Jovana Subasic (Serbia).

UCLA

Jim Mora says Josh Rosen would have been the first quarterback taken in the 2016 NFL Draft if he were eligible to be selected. He might get on his young gunslinger, but he isn’t afraid to heap big praise on him either apparently.

Utah

Kurt Kragthorpe features future Utah gymnast MyKayla Skinner as she preps for the U.S. Olympic women’s gymnastics trails in San Jose. Skinner deferred her enrollment at The U for a year to chase her Olympic dream.

Arizona

Michael Lev of the Arizona Daily Star tells us that Arizona baseball’s run to the College World Series is helping the program in recruiting.

Oregon

Tyson Alger of The Oregonian/OregonLive reports to us on how Big Sky football coaches had success in limiting Dakota Prukop, the Oregon quarterback who terrorized the FCS-level conference when he was at Montana State.
