Oregon

Big game Thursday night between No. 10 Oregon men’s hoops and Utah in the SLC, and Tyson Alger of The Oregonian/OregonLive reports that Dillon Brooks has the boot off and is a game-time decision for Thursday night.

Utah

It’s going to be electric at the Huntsman Center, and Kyle Goon ponders whether or not a full house will help Utah upset the Ducks. At the time Goon’s article went live, fewer than 500 tickets remained available for purchase, so it looks like we’re gonna have a sellout.

USC

Kyle Boone of CBS Sports has this write-up of USC men’s basketball upsetting No. 8 UCLA 84-76 in large thanks to making 14 3-pointers and rock-solid defense.

Oregon State

The Beavs and Buffs are each looking for their first Pac-12 win on the men’s scene Thursday night, and leading up to this game, Danny Moran notes that it’s possible that Tres Tinkle could get a redshirt for this season. In order to qualify for a redshirt, a player can’t appear in more than 30 percent of his team’s games, and Tinkle has only played in six games so far this year.

Arizona

Arizona’s Lauri Markkanen was named Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week on Wednesday after being named Pac-12 Player of the Week earlier in the week (Arizona Desert Swarm). Dude averaged 20.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in the road sweep of the LA schools on 64 percent shooting and 8-of-10 from downtown.

Stanford

Contrary to prior reports, Stanford quarterback Ryan Burns is not transferring and will stay on The Farm for the 2017 season. NBC Sports on the link, David Lombardi on the reporting.

Arizona State

Here are the highlights from Arizona State men’s basketball’s 86-75 win over Washington Wednesday night in Tempe. The Sun Devils improve to 3-5 in Pac-12 play with the win.

Colorado

Check out the Pac-12 Networks recap of Colorado women’s basketball defeating Utah 54-49 in large thanks to 24 points from Kennedy Leonard.

Washington State

Hey, did you know that Washington State men’s basketball coach Ernie Kent once coached Oscar-nominated actor Mahershala Ali while he was at Saint Mary’s? Ali is nominated for best supporting actor for his performance in Moonlight. Jacob Thorpe has the background info.

Washington

Percy Allen writes that Markelle Fultz has been better than expected for Washington men’s basketball and that it’s likely this is his only year with the Huskies. There’s a good chance he’s one of the top-2 picks in the NBA Draft in June.

California

Rusty Simmons writes that new Cal football coach Justin Wilcox is bringing “folksiness” and “determination” to Berkeley.

UCLA

Kyle Bonagura gives us three questions for UCLA football heading into the 2017 season. Gotta fix that run game.
