• Highlighting this week’s games is STANFORD’s Tara VanDerveer getting her first opportunity to go for her 1,000th-career victory on Friday when the No. 8/8 Cardinal host USC on Friday on Pac-12 Network. The Hall of Fame coach has been roaming the sidelines for 37 years, including 31 years at the Farm. She looks to join elite company including the late Pat Summitt from Tennessee, the only NCAA women’s basketball coach to win 1,000 games.

• A pair of top-25 matchups are on the schedule over the next seven days. No. 11/11 OREGON STATE travels to face No. 23/18 ARIZONA STATE on Friday. The Beavers sit in a tie for first place with the Cardinal, while ASU is looking to snap a losing streak.

• The week wraps up when Cardinal host No. 13/12 UCLA on ESPN’s Big Monday on ESPN2. Stanford enters the week tied for first in the Pac-12 standings, while the Bruins will be looking to gain some ground as they sit in a tie for third just one game behind the Cardinal and No. 11/11 OREGON STATE.

• Five Pac-12 teams are ranked again in the national polls, including two in the top 10. Stanford leads league teams at No. 8 in the Associated Press poll and No. 9 in the USA Today/WBCA Coaches poll. WASHINGTON and OSU are No. 10 and No. 11, respectively, in both polls, while UCLA is tabbed No. 13 by the writers and No. 12 by the coaches. Arizona State is No. 23 in the AP polling but five spots better in the coaches’ ranking, coming in at No. 18.

• Washington’s Kelsey Plum continues to make headlines. After posting her fourth 40-point game this season, a Pac-12 record, she moved into third place all-time in scoring in the NCAA record book. She became only the sixth player in NCAA women’s basketball history to eclipse 3,100 points. She needs 145 points to reach Baylor’s Brittney Griner who scored 3,283 points in her career.

• Plum went on to be named ESPNW National Player of the Week, as well as the Pac-12 Player of the Week. OREGON’s Sabrina Ionescu was voted the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week third time this season.

• The top-three three-point shooters in the country are from the Pac-12. The Ducks’ Lexi Bando is the nation’s leader with a 53.3 three-point shooting percentage, with OSU’s Sydney Wiese behind her with a 49.2 shooting percentage from long distance. Stanford’s Karlie Samuelson is third on the list knocking down threes at a 48.6 three-point shooting clip.
