Pac-12 announces Men’s Swimmer and Diver of the Month

CALIFORNIA'S RYAN MURPHY NAMED MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE MONTH
STANFORD’S BRADLEY CHRISTENSEN TABBED MEN'S DIVER OF THE MONTH

SAN FRANCISCO - The Conference office announced today that Ryan Murphy of CALIFORNIA was named Pac-12 Men's Swimmer of the Month and STANFORD’s Bradley Christensen was voted Pac-12 Men’s Diver of the Month for February.

Murphy (Ponte Vedra, Fla.) swam his last two dual meets as a Golden Bear and didn't lose a race, winning all seven times he jumped in the pool. Murphy attained four first places at the Golden Bears’ dual meet against USC, winning the 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard backstroke, and a member of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay and the 200-yard medley relay. The senior also picked up wins in the 200-yard individual medley, 200-yard backstroke, and the 200-yard medley relay at the Stanford dual meet. California now has 12 all-time monthly accolades and Murphy picks up his second this season and fourth all-time. 

Christensen (Southlake, Tex.) won the 3-meter and placed second in the 1-meter at the Cardinal’s dual meet against USC with scores of 411.15 and 329.40, respectively. He also won the 1-meter at the Pac-12 Championship with a score of 375.90 and was fourth in the 3-meter with a score of 370.00. This is Stanford’s seventh all-time winner in the category.
