LAS VEGAS– This week’s Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament Presented by New York Life will feature some of Las Vegas’ top entertainment acts, the Conference announced today. Included in the line-up are iconic performers from Las Vegas shows like Tenors of Rock, the Australian Bee Gees, and ABSINTHE. Single-session tickets for the tournament are still available online at pac-12.com/tickets and at the T-Mobile Arena Box Office.

The Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament will be played Wednesday-Saturday, March 8-11, 2017, at the brand new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The tournament features 11 games over four intense days. Last year, Oregon captured the title in an exciting atmosphere as thousands of fans witnessed competitive games played by some of the best college basketball teams in the country. There are currently three Pac-12 teams ranked among the top-10 teams in the nation – No. 3 UCLA, No. 5 Oregon, and No. 7 Arizona – and they’ll all take center stage as they battle for the tournament crown in Las Vegas.

A major benefit to playing the tournament in Las Vegas is access to first-rate entertainment. Throughout the tournament sessions, many of the most popular and acclaimed Las Vegas entertainment acts are scheduled to perform national anthems and halftime acts.  

The famous Jabbawockeez will perform the halftime show of the Pac-12 Championship game on Saturday. Other acts making appearances throughout the tournament include Chadwick Johnson, Terry Fator, Volta Wheel, the Chinese Bars, Courtney Harrell from The Voice, the Russian Bar Trio, and Tron.

During the semifinal session on Friday, March 10, two very special groups of Pac-12 legends will be honored on court. During the first semifinal game, the Pac-12 will honor this year’s inductees into its Hall of Honor, comprising basketball icons from every Pac-12 school. Halftime of the second semifinal game will see the United States Olympic Committee honor Pac-12 athletics departments’ commitment to broad-based Olympic sports programs by brining one Olympian from each Pac-12 school on court to thank their institution. 

Fan entertainment will not be limited to just inside T-Mobile Arena. Outside the arena, the Pac-12 Fan Plaza at Toshiba Plaza will feature pep rallies from participating teams’ band and cheer squads as well as activations from various Pac-12 partners and vendors. Pep rallies will occur 70 minutes before each game as the bands and cheer squads from each game’s participating teams join fans outside to celebrate their teams.  All Pac-12 mascots will interact with fans at a special “Midnight Mascot Madness” event in the Plaza at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8.

Fans visiting the Pac-12 Fan Plaza will also be invited to interact with Pac-12 partners like New York Life, EA, GEICO, and Vivid Seats. These activations will include photo opportunities, giveaways, and more. Through the Pac-12’s partnership with the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE), the Pac-12 Fan Plaza will feature RISE’s signature activation, “It Takes All Colors.” – an interactive photo booth that celebrates diverse athletes, coaches, and fans of all races standing together for a common goal at stadiums, arenas, and fields across the world. 

In addition to all the activations, Pac-12 Hall of Honor inductees as well as Pac-12 Olympians will be on the Plaza to interact with fans throughout the week. Local food and beverage trucks will also be open to fans. The Pac-12 Fan Plaza will be located at Toshiba Plaza in front of the main entrance to T-Mobile Arena and will be open from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, and 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.
