SAN FRANCISCO – The team seedings for the 2017 Pac-12 Women’s Gymnastics Championships are set, as announced by the Conference today. The seedings are determined by NCAA regional qualifying scores. The Championships will be held Saturday, March 18 on campus at Stanford University. Tickets are still available for both sessions of the meet here or at the door at Maples Pavilion.

Defending champions UCLA earned the top seed for the event with a regional qualifying score (RQS) of 197.500. Behind them in the No. 2 seed is UTAH with an RQS of 197.355. Holding the No. 3 seed is OREGON STATE with a 196.875. Rounding out the top four is WASHINGTON with a 196.480. These four teams will compete in session two which is slated to begin at 6 p.m. PT.

The first session of the day will begin at 1 p.m. PT is led by No. 5 seed CALIFORNIA with an RQS of 196.400. The other three teams in the first session include No. 6 seed ARIZONA (195.710), No. 7 seed and host STANFORD (195.610), and No. 8 seed ARIZONA STATE (194.740).

Teams and student-athletes from both sessions are eligible for the team and individual awards. Below lists the event at which each team will start Saturday. Competition will proceed in Olympic order.

As a rule change from previous years, this year, the top three seeds in each session (in order of ranking) selected the event on which they wished to begin from the available events, following the Olympic order thereafter.

Team regional qualifying scores are calculated on the teams’ six best regular-season meet scores. Three of these scores must be from an away competition. The highest score is eliminated then the remaining five scores are averaged.
