Pac-12 announces outdoor track & field athletes of the week

The Pac-12 Conference outdoor track and field athlete of the week honors for the week of March 27-April 2:

Men's Track Athlete of the Week
Just'N Thymes, USC
Senior
Phoenix, Ariz.

Thymes placed second in the men's 100-meter dash at the Texas Relays with a time of 10.08 (+2.1w), just over the legal limit. That mark is second fastest in the country this season, and his wind-legal PR of 10.14 (+1.4) set in the prelims is also the second-fastest wind-legal time in the country and ranks ninth on USC's all-time list.

Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Amy-Eloise Neale, Washington

Neale beat out 84 competitors to win the 5,000-meters at the Stanford Invitational in her first ever race at that distance. The reigning Pac-12 Cross Country individual champion outkicked the NCAA cross country and indoor 5,000-meter champ Karissa Schweizer down the final stretch for the victory, her time of 15:39.30 just .45 seconds ahead of the Mizzou runner. Neale now ranks No. 2 in the NCAA this season in the 5k and No. 3 in UW history.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week
Casey Burns, Washington

Burien, Wash.

Burns leaped to a new career-best in the triple jump at the Texas Relays on his first attempt, going 51'-10.5" (15.81 meters) to win his section. That mark is the best in the Pac-12 so far this season, No. 2 in Washington program history and 14th in the nation.

Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Mackenzie Little, Stanford
Sophomore
Roseville, Australia

Little won the javelin at the Stanford Invitational with a throw of 182'-5" (55.60 meters), the No. 2 throw in NCAA Division I this year. Little, the reigning Pac-12 champ, came within 1'5" of the Stanford school record held by four-time Pac-12 champ Brianna Bain.
