Pac-12 Softball Players of the Week for April 4

Player of the Week: Katiyana Mauga, Arizona
• 5 GP, 5 R, 2 HR, 7 RBI, .417 AVG
• Hit her 78th and 79th career home runs bringing her one shy of becoming the ninth player in NCAA history with 80 homers.
• Her 12 home runs so far this season lead the Conference.
• Led the team with seven RBI, helping Arizona go 5-0 vs. Grand Canyon and and a sweep of No. RV/22 Cal.
• Batted .417 and got on base at a .579 clip.

Pitcher of the Week: Maggie Balint, Oregon
• 4 GP, 11 IP, 4-0 record, 0.00 ERA, 17K
• Was perfect over the week, helping the Ducks to four top-25 wins.
• Pitched in all four games, including a start in the ASU series and went 3-0 with a shutout and a save.
• She allowed no runs, either earned of unearned, and struck out 17 batters in 11.0 innings.
• She walked just three and allowed only four hits.
• Now has a team-best 0.86 ERA with 112 strikeouts and 16 walks in 81.2 innings this year.
• She owns a team-best 16-0 record.

Freshman of the Week: Alyssa Palomino, Arizona
• 5 GP, 6 R, 2 HR, 5 RBI, .308 AVG
• Had four extra- base hits, including two homers, in five games on the week, helping Arizona go 5-0.
• The Wildcats now improve to a perfect 9-0 in Conference play with its third straight Conference sweep.
• Scored a run in every game and drove in five of her own.
• Led the team with a 1.000 slugging percentage for the week.
