Pac-12 announces the women's tennis player of the week

THIS WEEK: Gabby Smith, USC
• Junior Gabby Smith was the hero of the afternoon on Saturday (April 22) as she clinched the match for the Trojans over their crosstown rival the No. 22 UCLA Bruins in Westwood, Calif.
• Smith's 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-4 victory over UCLA's Terri Fleming in the No. 2 position secured the upset for the Women of Troy.
• This win also notched Smith's 20th singles win of the season and gives USC the No. 6 seed headed into the Pac-12 Team Championships.
