Utah

Kyle Goon reports that Utah basketball’s Kyle Kuzma is hiring an agent and will remain in the NBA Draft. DraftExpress.com currently has Kuzma going late in the second round.

Washington State

Jacob Thorpe reports that Washington State extended Ernie Kent’s contract by a year. Kent nabbed his first four-star recruit in Pullman on Monday and went 6-12 in Pac-12 play in 2016-17, a year after going 1-17 in league.

Arizona

Well how about this – former MLB first round draft pick Donavan Tate is joining Arizona football as a walk-on quarterback. Tate was the No. 3 pick of the 2009 MLB Draft and will be a 27-year-old freshman come September.

Arizona State

Kansas men’s basketball transfer Carlton Bragg has committed to Arizona State, Jeff Goodman of ESPN reports. The 6-foot-10 power forward also considered Illinois and was suspended on two separate occasions last season with the Jayhawks.

USC

Good article by Sports Illustrated’s Greg Bishop, who details the waiting game for Washington cornerback Sidney Jones during the NFL Draft. Initially considered a first-round pick before injuring his Achilles tendon, Jones went 43rd overall to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Oregon

Jeff Eisenberg of Yahoo! Sports explains how the addition of New Mexico transfer Elijah Brown will help the Oregon men’s basketball team. Brown, the son of Golden State Warriors assistant coach Mike Brown, averaged 18.8 points per game last year for the Lobos.

UCLA
