California

Cal women’s basketball coach Lindsay Gottlieb gave birth to a baby boy on Sunday. Congrats to Gottlieb and her fiancé Patrick Martin! The boy’s name is Jordan Peter.

Washington

Former Washington men's basketball star and NBA coach George Irvine died of cancer at the age of 69, reports Adam Jude of the Seattle Times. He was a head coach for the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons and was a two-time all-Pac-8 selection at U-Dub.

USC

Nathan Fenno of the Los Angeles Times goes inside the plans for renovations to the Coliseum, which are supposed to be completed in 2019. USC has raised $225 million for the $270-million project, according to the article.

Oregon State

Stanford

Stanford women’s golf is in second in the NCAA Albuquerque Regional after 18 holes, three shots behind Pepperdine heading into Tuesday’s round. Top six make it to the NCAA Championships next week.

Utah

Dirk Facer of the Deseret News tells us that Utah football is adapting to no longer being able to have two-a-days in fall camp after the NCAA passed the rule change in April. Kyle Whittingham says he was a fan of two-a-days, so it’ll be an adjustment for the Utes.

Washington State
