Pac-12 Networks Announces First Three Weeks of 2017 Football TV Schedule
Pac-12 Networks to serve as home for the most Pac-12 football coverage during kickoff week
SAN FRANCISCO – As the 2017 college football season nears, Pac-12 Networks today announced its broadcast schedule with game times for the Conference’s first three weeks. With seven games on air in week one, Pac-12 Networks will be home of the most Pac-12 football coverage for kickoff week. In total, the Networks will broadcast 15 live football games over the first three weeks and will again air 35 live regular season games overall on the season, including 20 conference games.
The first three weeks of the schedule on Pac-12 Networks will feature 11 of the Conference’s 12 universities and a total of nine home-openers, including those for Arizona State, Arizona, Cal, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, USC, Utah and Washington. In addition, Pac-12 Networks this season will provide postgame press conferences with Pac-12 head football coaches of the home team via Facebook Live from the Conference’s Facebook account at facebook.com/Pac12Conference.
"Kicking off the season with an action-packed first three weeks, Pac-12 Networks will be the best destination for Pac-12 football fans," said Dustin Rocke, Pac-12 Networks Vice President of Programming. “With a robust schedule of matchups to open the year, including USC’s home opener against Western Michigan in a matchup between two of last season’s New Year’s Six teams, we’re excited for the season to get underway."
Kickoff week on the Networks will include the 2016 Rose Bowl Champion USC Trojans’ home opener against Cotton Bowl participant Western Michigan on Saturday, Sept. 2 along with Southern Utah at Oregon for new Ducks head football coach Willie Taggart’s first game. That Saturday will also include matchups of Northern Arizona at Arizona and Portland State at Oregon State. On Friday, Sept. 1, prior to that Saturday, Pac-12 Networks will broadcast Colorado’s matchup against Colorado State at Mile High Stadium. Overall in week one, Pac-12 Networks will feature two games on Thursday, Aug. 31, one on Friday, Sept. 1 and four on Saturday, Sept. 2 with all seven airing live on Pac-12 Network.
After kickoff week coverage, the Networks will return in week two with a total of five live games on Saturday, Sept. 9. Four of the five in week two will air live on Pac-12 Network, including Hawaii at UCLA, Montana at Washington, Texas State at Colorado and San Diego State at Arizona State, while Weber State at Cal will air live locally on Pac-12 Bay Area. The following week will feature three games live on Pac-12 Network on Saturday, Sept. 16, including Fresno State at Washington, Northern Colorado at Colorado and Oregon State at Washington State.
Additional announcements regarding the remainder of Pac-12 Networks’ fall football programming, including studio shows and talent assignments, will be announced at a later date.
