SAN FRANCISCO - The Pac-12 Conference announced today the men’s tennis All-Pac-12 honors for the 2017 season, as determined by a polling of the Conference coaches. Stanford’s Tom Fawcett was voted Pac-12 Singles Player of the Year. UCLA’s pair of Martin Redlicki and Evan Zhu were tabbed the Pac-12 Doubles Team of the Year. USC's Brandon Holt was named the Freshman/Newcomer of the Year. Oregon’s head coach Nils Schylander was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year. The All-Pac-12 teams were also announced.

Pac-12 Singles Player of the Year – Tom Fawcett, Stanford
Fawcett ended his season as an ITA All-American in singles. Pac-12 All-Academic second team recipient, and now the Pac-12 Singles Player of the Year. He compiled a 22-10overall record with a 12-6 record in duals, while remaining in the top-15 in the national rankings all year. Against Pac-12 opponents, he held a 13-9 record. He advanced to the NCAA singles semifinals, claiming two clinching points in his journey to the semifinals. In the ITA All-American Championships, Fawcett reached the quarterfinals. He claimed his 40th dual win this season to add his name to Stanford’s career dual victories list.

Pac-12 Doubles Team of the Year – Martin Redlicki and Evan Zhu, UCLA
UCLA’s leading pair of Redlicki and Evan Zhu held a 21-5 overall record, 17-3 in dual-match play, and clinched seven doubles points on the campaign, the last in the Bruins’ third-round win over then-No. 13 Texas A&M. Redlicki and Zhu possessed an 8-3 record against nationally-ranked opponents. Redlicki was named Pac-12 Player of the Week after assisting the Bruins in the regular season win over USC, getting the clinching point.

Pac-12 Freshman/Newcomer of the Year – Brandon Holt, USC
USC’s winningest singles player and one half of the Trojans’ top doubles duo, Brandon Holt ended the season ranked No. 17 in the nation in singles to secure a place as a 2017 ITA All-American in singles. Holt’s powerful freshman campaign, which has now topped out with Pac-12 Newcomer/Freshman of the Year accolades, saw the new Trojan collect a 35-9 overall record in singles along with a 25-8 mark in doubles — all alongside fellow freshman Riley Smith. Holt would snag a spot in the NCAA Singles draw as well as the NCAA Doubles draw with Smith. In the fall, Holt claimed the ITA All-American Consolation Championship as well as the SoCal Intercollegiate Championship. In doubles, Holt and Smith beat four top-10 teams, including an upset of the nation’s then-No. 1 pair in the NCAA Team Round of 16, and finished 2016-17 ranked No. 11 in the land.

Pac-12 Coach of the Year – Nils Schylander, ORE
Nils Schyllander once again led the Ducks to new heights in 2016-17, guiding them to their second-straight 19-win season and their first back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in program history. Schyllander and the Ducks won their opening round match for the second year in a row, and their fourth-place conference finish was their best ever in the Pac-12. The Ducks were ranked in the ITA top 25 for the final 12 rankings, the longest streak in program history, and they finished the year in the top 25 for the first time ever at No. 24.
