Oregon's Raevyn Rogers was named the USTFCCCA's Women's National Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year Wednesday morning. ASU's Maggie Ewen also claimed the honors for women's field athlete of the year, while Oregon was named the NCAA Division I Women's Program of the Year by the USTFCCCA on Tuesday.

Stanford

Stanford has won its 23rd consecutive Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup, the school announced in a press release Wednesday. Stanford’s 1,536 points were more than enough to eclipse second-place Ohio State (1,391.75) and third-place USC (1,251.25).

Washington

Three Washington baseball players were selected on the second day of the MLB Draft Tuesday, with Joey Morgan going in the third round (95th overall) to the Detroit Tigers, Noah Bremer going in the sixth round (194th) to the Texas Rangers and Jack Meggs going in the 10th round (291st) to the Oakland A’s.

Utah

Likewise, there were also three Utes to go on the second day of the MLB Draft – Riley Ottesen to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the fifth round (160th), Jayson Rose to the Milwaukee Brewers in the eighth round (234th) and Dallas Carroll also to the Brewers in the ninth round (264th). So the Dawgs go to American League teams and the Utes go to National League squads (The Salt Lake Tribune).

USC

Meanwhile, USC commit Nick Allen was drafted in the third round by the Oakland A’s, and it is yet to be seen whether or not the shortstop will come to Troy or turn pro (Los Angeles Daily News).

Colorado

Matt L. Stephens of The Denver Post reported earlier in the week that Colorado football coach Mike MacIntyre’s contract is expected to be approved this week. He signed a three-year, $16.25 million contract extension in January to keep him in Boulder through the 2021 season, but it hadn’t been approved because of the external investigation into how Colorado handled the Joe Tumpkin case.
