Oregon State

Oregon State dominated LSU 13-1 at the College World Series Monday night, putting the Beavs one win away from the CWS finals. Danny Moran has the game story in the link above. How about this? The Beavs have won 23 in a row for the SECOND time this season, and they’ve only played 60 games. That’s unreal.

Colorado

Adrian Wojnarowski reports that former Buff great and NBA Finals MVP Chauncey Billups is a leading candidate to become the president of basketball operations for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs just lost their general manager, David Griffin, so if he gets the job, Billups will have to hire a GM.

Arizona

Former Arizona Wildcat Andre Iguodala helped launch the inaugural The Players Technology Summit alongside Steph Curry. Sponsored by Bloomberg, “The Players Technology Summit will bring together top leaders in the technology, venture capital and sports communities to exchange ideas and share expertise in an educational and empowering forum,” per the Bloomberg Media release. This will go down August 14-16 in San Francisco.

Washington State

Former Coug Aron Baynes will become an unrestricted free agent after declining his $6.5 million player option to stick with the Detroit Pistons for the 2017-18 season, Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports reports (Dan Feldman of NBC Sports with the link).

Washington

Well here’s an interesting take – Matt Norlander of CBS Sports thinks Markelle Fultz’s draft stock is a little too high. Not that he won’t be a very good player; just that maybe he shouldn’t be the clear-cut No. 1 pick in such a deep draft.

UCLA

On the other side of the coin, Norlander thinks Jonah Bolden’s stock is too low. The former Bruin had a good season in Serbia last year.

California

Longtime friend of the roundup Avinash Kunnath tells us where several mock drafts have Ivan Rabb goingDraftExpress and Sports Illustrated have him going 29th to San Antonio, NBA.com has him going 26th to Portland and SB Nation has him going 25th to Orlando.

Arizona State

Jeremy Cluff of The Arizona Republic notes that Arizona State will not have a player selected in the 2017 NBA Draft, making it four straight years that the Sun Devils have not had a player drafted. The last one to hear his name called? Former Santa Cruz Warrior Carrick Felix.

Oregon

Check out these Tyler Dorsey highlights from his sophomore season as he gets ready for the NBA Draft Thursday (Pac-12.com).

USC

This is tight – watch USC quarterback Sam Darnold complete a pass off the back of a boat to a wakeboarder, USC men’s volleyball player Sean Morrissey.

Stanford

Paul Myerberg of USA TODAY Sports is of the opinion that Stanford has made the best back-to-back head coaching hires in college football since 1995; doesn’t get better than Jim Harbaugh and David Shaw. Oregon is No. 2 on this list for its Mike Bellotti-Chip Kelly tag-team tandem, and Utah and Oregon State are fourth and 10th on the list, respectively.

Utah

It’s never too early to do a team position breakdown in college football, so Lafe Peavler of the Deseret News dives into the Utah linebacker situation. Sunia Tauteoli, Kavika Luafatasaga and Cody Barton are some names to look out for in the Utes’ second level of the defense.
