Arizona State

Jeff Metcalfe reports that legendary Arizona State football coach Frank Kush has died Thursday at the age of 88. Kush, who was head coach at ASU from 1958-79 and won a school-record 176 games, was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1995.

Oregon sophomore Payton Pritchard was named to the 2017 Team USA U19 World Cup team's final roster on Thursday. The Americans will go for a third straight gold July 1-9 in Cairo, Egypt.

Washington

The NBA Draft is here, and Mike Rutherford of SB Nation opines that Markelle Fultz likely going No. 1 overall shows that you don’t have to win in college to be a top pick. The Huskies were an abysmal 2-16 in conference play this year and 9-22 overall.

Arizona

Bruce Pascoe writes that Arizona’s Lauri Markkanen is ready for the NBA Draft, as the Finnish forward is set to become the first lottery pick from Finland. Markkanen figures to be a top-10 pick.

Utah

Meanwhile, Dirk Facer of the Deseret News features former Ute Kyle Kuzma as he waits to hear his name called Thursday night. Sounds like he could go anywhere from late in the first round to early in the second round.

California

Jon Wilner gives us the details on Cal football coach Justin Wilcox’s contract. Plenty of incentives in there as well, including a bonus for beating Stanford.

Colorado
