Student-Athletes Attend NFL / Pac-12 Careers in Football Forum

Jun 23, 2017

The NFL / Pac-12 Careers in Football Forum is a collaborative program between the NFL and the Pac-12 that seeks to introduce careers in football to current Pac-12 football student-athletes. The program reflects the Pac-12 and its member institutions’ strong commitments to enhancing the student-athlete experience and successful history of graduating qualified men and women prepared for life after college.

The program, taking place in San Francisco June 23-24, includes panels, mock interviews, networking opportunities, discussion groups, and hands-on learning stations in hopes that the participants gain a better understanding of career opportunities in the sports industry. The student-athletes will also visit Pac-12 and Pac-12 Networks headquarters as part of the programming.

In addition to introducing non-playing careers in football, some of the objectives for the student-athletes in attendance include defining and understanding core values, improving communications skills with colleagues and professionals, growing professional networks, examining career goals, identifying future opportunities, and building personal brands.
