UCLA

Lonzo Ball had his best game of Las Vegas Summer League so far Wednesday night, going for 36 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds, five steals and two blocks in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 103-102 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. The big thing everyone is talking about is that he wasn’t wearing his Big Baller Brand shoes, instead opting for some Nikes.

Stanford

Former Stanford men’s soccer star Jordan Morris scored two goals for the U.S. national team in a 3-2 win over Martinique Wednesday night, including the game-winner in the 76th minute (Sports Illustrated). The Americans are now 1-0-1 in the group stage of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Colorado

Colorado lacrosse coach Ann Elliott was named IWLCA Midwest/West Region Coach of the Year, it was announced Wednesday. Elliott led the Buffs to a 16-4 record and 7-1 mark in MPSF play.

California

Former Cal quarterback Aaron Rodgers won ESPYs for Best NFL Player and Best Play Wednesday night at the ESPY Awards show in Los Angeles. I don’t get the point of an awards show for sports (outside of the monetary factors. That’s what MVP and championship trophies are for, right? Hasn’t this stuff already been decided?), but whatever floats your boat.

Washington

Four Washington football players were named to the Outland Trophy watch list (best interior lineman in the nation) – Greg Gaines and Vita Vea on the defensive line and Coleman Shelton and Trey Adams on the offensive line.

Oregon

Oregon women’s basketball players Sabrina Ionescu and Erin Boley will participate in the USA U23 women’s basketball national team training camp July 31-August 4 in preparation for the U23 Four Nations Tournament in Tokyo. Other news and notes are included in this link from The Register-Guard.

Arizona State

This video from The Arizona Republic will let you know all the need-to-know dates for the Arizona State football 2017 preseason. Training camp kicks off July 25.

Arizona

Myron Medcalf of ESPN considers the Arizona tandem of DeAndre Ayton and Allonzo Trier to be one of the best duos in college basketball. Hard to argue with that.

Oregon State

Kerry Eggers of the Portland Tribune features Oregon State quarterback Jake Luton, who is in the hunt for the starting job. He dropped 30 pounds during the spring due to a mysterious illness, but he has gained the weight back and good to go for fall camp.

Utah

The game doesn’t exist anymore, but if it did, how would Utah football be rated in NCAA Football 18? That’s the question posed by Alex Stark of Block U.

USC

Washington State
