Read Bleacher Report’s Q&A with UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen. A lot of topics are covered – returning from injury, his love for the game, etc. – but what has caught headlines across the country are his comments on the difficulties of juggling a football schedule and a class schedule. His coach, Jim Mora, said Wednesday that his QB will have to deal with the consequences of those comments.

Former Oregon State quarterback Marcus McMaryion will transfer to Fresno State, as he made it public knowledge on Twitter Tuesday night. Gina Mizell has more on the story.

Class of 2018 men’s basketball five-star recruit Jahvon Quinerly has committed to Arizona, he announced Tuesday night. The 6’2’’ point guard is the No. 16 overall prospect in his class, according to Rivals, and he chose the Wildcats over another Wildcat school (Villanova).

Adrian Wojnarowski reports that former Dawg C.J. Wilcox agreed to a two-way contract with the Portland Trail Blazers (Bleacher Report on the link), which means he will spend most of this season in the G League and up to a month and a half with the Blazers during the regular season.

Stanford men’s water polo added former Olympian Brett Ormsby to its staff as an assistant coach. Ormsby was the 2004 National Player of the Year and a four-time All-American at UCLA.

Buffalo Bills beat writer Sal Maiorana of the Democrat & Chronicle features former USC cornerback Shareece Wright and how he battled back from a broken neck suffered in USC’s 2008 game against Ohio State to carve out a career in the NFL. Wright is currently in training camp with the Bills trying to earn a roster spot (taking that $900 Uber ride from Chicago to Buffalo just to make an optional team meeting certainly didn’t hurt his chances).

Nicole Auerbach of USA TODAY features the Indiana Fever’s Briann January, who will transition to an assistant coaching role at Arizona State, her alma mater, in the WNBA offseason. The current plan is for January to continue her WNBA career when the college basketball season is over and go back to her assistant gig in Tempe in the WNBA offseason.
