Arizona State

Congrats to Justin Thomas for winning the PGA Championship Sunday, but former Sun Devil Jon Rahm’s backward shot was by far the best shot of the day (Yahoo Sports). I can't even fathom the amount of skill it takes to execute a shot like that; just unreal.

Stanford

Stanford football chose its team captains for the 2017 season on Sunday – Peter Kalambayi, David Bright, Alameen Murphy, Harrison Phillips, Brandon Simmons, Dalton Schultz and Keller Chryst. That’s a pretty big leadership group right there.

Arizona

Oregon State

Sean Meagher of The Oregonian/OregonLive provides us with this Oregon State football scrimmage report from Saturday. The big news is that wide receiver Seth Collins missed the scrimmage with an injured finger.

Washington

Todd Milles of The News Tribune muses about which true freshmen will play significant snaps this season for Washington in this Washington football fall camp takeaways blog post.

Oregon

Another reason why this dude is the best – Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota took the time to hug some fans before coming out of the tunnel for the Titans’ preseason game. Awesome moment.

Washington State

Dan Wolken of USA TODAY Sports writes about Washington State football coach Mike Leach’s use of Twitter over the summer, focusing in on his dispute with Texas Tech over money (about $2.5 million) he claims the school owes him.

Colorado

Brian Howell is of the opinion that Colorado football is on the right track as the mid-point of training camp nears. The defense is looking better than Howell expected, for starters.

Utah

Lynn Worthy of The Salt Lake Tribune gives us an update of how the Utah basketball teams are doing on their European tours. The men recently lost to a team in Paris, while the women beat an Italian team by 71 points.
