Stanford

Zach Barnett of NBC Sports’ CollegeFootballTalk dives into the numbers behind Stanford running back Bryce Love’s 2017 season so far. Love was unstoppable in the Cardinal’s 58-34 win over UCLA Saturday night, rushing for 263 yards and a touchdown. Through four games, Love leads the nation in rushing yards per game while also averaging a whopping 10.8 yards per carry. Yes, that’s right – 10.8 yards per carry.

UCLA

Following the blowout loss to Stanford, UCLA defensive lineman Jaelan Phillips vowed that the Bruins won’t lose again (theScore). Phillips did not play in Saturday night’s game due to injury.

USC

Fresh off a hard-fought 30-20 win over Cal to improve to 4-0, USC wants to get off to a better start against Washington State, writes Joey Kaufman of the Orange County Register (linked here by Los Angeles Daily News). The Trojans were tied entering the fourth quarter against Cal and had a good deal of trouble against Western Michigan and Texas.

California

Cal head coach Justin Wilcox is standing behind Ross Bowers as starting quarterback following the loss to USC, reports Rusty Simmons. Bowers was 22 of 40 passing for 303 yards, four interceptions and two fumbles.

Washington

Watch what Washington coach Chris Petersen had to say after the Huskies’ 37-10 win over Colorado in a rematch of the 2016 Pac-12 Football Championship Game.

Colorado

Brian Howell writes that Colorado quarterback Steven Montez can turn the Washington loss into a positive. Montez led the Buffs to a touchdown on the first drive of the game before things turned ugly for the Buffs.

Arizona State

Check out the Pac-12 Networks' recap of Arizona State’s 37-35 win over Oregon Saturday night, giving the Sun Devils their first win over the Ducks since 2004.

Washington State

Nice 45-7 win over Nevada and all, but Washington State has to prepare for USC on a short week, notes Theo Lawson of The Spokesman-Review. Can’t wait for this one on Friday night.

Oregon

Great story from Andrew Greif on the relationship between Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert and Cal coach Justin Wilcox. Good time for the story considering the Ducks and Bears play Saturday night in Autzen.

Oregon State

Former Oregon State wide receiver Brandin Cooks made the game-winning touchdown catch in the New England Patriots’ 36-33 win over the Houston Texas Sunday afternoon, and that is the lead subject of Peter King’s MMQB for Sports Illustrated.

Utah

Lynn Worthy gives us an update on Utah’s Rice-Eccles Stadium expansion study. The Utes have sold out 46 straight home games.

Arizona

The Arizona Daily Star has a game-by-game look at Arizona football’s season. Tough loss at home against Utah on Friday night to head into the bye week.
