USC's Suh and Colorado's Hodgkins receive Golfer of the Month honors

SAN FRANCISCO - Justin Suh of USC has been named the Pac-12 Men’s Golfer of the Month for September, the Pac-12 announced today.
 
Suh, a junior from San Jose, Calif., took top honors at the Trinity Forest Invitational on Sept. 24-26 with a 10-under 203 (67-69-67). He started the final round in a tie atop the leaderboard, but shot a 67 to post a three-stroke victory. It was his second career win.
 
Earlier in the month, Suh finished tied for ninth in loaded field at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invite on as shot even par 210 (70-69-71). 
 
Suh posted rounds of 69 or better in four of six rounds this season and has a 68.83 stroke average for the season.

Tucker Intercollegiate); Arizona State’s Alex del Rey (-10, Maui Jim Intercollegiate); Oregon’s Norman Xiong (-12, Rod Myers Invitational); USC’s Justin Suh (-10, Trinity Forest Invitational) and Utah’s Kyler Dunkle (-14, Mark Simpson Invitational).

Kirsty Hodgkins of Colorado has been named the Pac-12 Women’s Golfer of the Month for September, the Pac-12 announced today.

The Brisbane, Queensland, Australia native won her first career tournament, putting together a dominating performance to win medalist honors at the Coeur D’Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational hosted by Gonzaga with a final scorecard of 10-under 203 (68-65-70). Hodgkins became the ninth individual and 13th overall medalist in program history and helped the Buffaloes secure its first tournament win in two years. Hodgkins collected 15 birdies and 34 pars throughout the tournament.

At the Coeur D’Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational, the Buffaloes broke the school record for the lowest 54-hole score shooting 18-under 834 (282-268-284).

Earlier in the month, Hodgkins finished tied for 10th with a 1-under 215 (73-71-71) at the Branch Law/Dick McGuire Invitational (Sept. 11-12) to help the Buffs to a third-place team finish.
