Roundup: Riley Sorenson's cancer is in remission

The good vibes just keep rolling on the Palouse – Riley Sorenson’s cancer is in remission, his girlfriend announced on Twitter. This is the second time the former Washington State offensive lineman has successfully battled testicular cancer.

Oregon

Good news – Oregon running back Royce Freeman practiced Wednesday morning, reports Andrew Greif. Freeman, who suffered a shoulder injury in the win over Cal Saturday night, is considered “day to day” by head coach Willie Taggart.

USC

USC offensive lineman Viane Talamaivao is out for the season with a torn pectoral muscle suffered in the loss to Wazzu Friday night, head coach Clay Helton said (Yahoo Sports). Talamaivao was a four-year starter for the Trojans, and it is unlikely he will be granted a redshirt because he played into the fifth game of the season.

UCLA

UCLA women’s soccer coach Amanda Cromwell is one win away from 300 career victories, and No. 300 could come Thursday night at Arizona State. You can watch the top-ranked Bruins against the Sun Devils on Arizona State’s live stream portal at 7 p.m. PT.

Arizona State alum Jourdan Rodrigue was the target of a Cam Newton insult Wednesday when the Panthers quarterback said “it’s funny to hear a female talk about routes. It’s funny,” in response to Rodrigue’s question about Devin Funchess’ route running.
