UCLA

Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott released a statement that the UCLA student-athletes involved in an incident with authorities in Hangzhou, China are on their way back to the United States.

California

Cal women’s basketball guard Mi’Cole Cayton is out for the season with a torn ACL, head coach Lindsay Gottlieb announced Monday (San Francisco Chronicle). The sophomore starter had 13 points and two steals in Cal’s win over St. Mary’s.

Arizona State

Doug Haller reports that Arizona State men’s basketball forward Kimani Lawrence is out 4-6 weeks with a stress fracture in his left foot. Lawrence, a freshman, was a top-100 recruit.

Washington

Washington men’s soccer qualified for the NCAA Tournament and will host Seattle in a first-round game Thursday night at 6 p.m. PT.

Washington State

With just one game left on the regular-season slate, Washington State controls its own destiny for the Pac-12 North, writes Theo Lawson. All the Cougs gotta do is win the Apple Cup; not exactly the easiest task, but nobody else besides the Cougs in the North can say “win and in” for the Pac-12 Football Championship Game.

USC

The Trojans have wrapped up the Pac-12 South and all, but Zach Helfand wonders if near-comebacks by Arizona and Colorado could hurt USC’s long-shot College Football Playoff chances. The new CFP rankings come out Tuesday night.

Stanford

Stanford running back Bryce Love was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week after rushing for 166 yards and three touchdowns in Stanford’s upset victory over Washington Friday night.

Arizona

Arizona men’s basketball guard Allonzo Trier was named Pac-12 Player of the Week after going for 30-plus in wins over Northern Arizona and UMBC.

Oregon

Meanwhile, Oregon’s Sabrina Ionescu was named Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week in large part because of her fifth career triple-double that she posted Sunday against Drake. Her teammate Satou Sabally was named Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Week after averaging 15.5 points per game in the Ducks’ two games over the opening weekend.

Colorado

With Colorado men’s basketball hosting Denver Tuesday night on Pac-12 Networks (6 p.m. PT/7 p.m. MT), Pat Rooney spends this article discussing Denver head coach Rodney Billups’ and assistant Ricardo Patton’s return to Coors Events Center. Billups was an assistant at Colorado under Tad Boyle, while Patton was the head coach of the Buffs for more than 11 seasons.

Oregon State

Oregon State men’s basketball lost to Wyoming 75-66 Monday night in Corvallis, and our Roxy Bernstein and Mike Montgomery have the recap in the preceding link.

Utah

Kareem Copeland of the Associated Press features Utah quarterback Tyler Huntley and his search for “risk-reward balance.” He ranks in the top 20 in the nation in yards of total offense and completion percentage but is also coming off a three-interception, one-fumble performance in the loss to Washington State.
