SAN FRANCISCO — The Pac-12 Conference had a strong presence on the college football All-America squads with five student-athletes earning first team honors. The list of players was led by STANFORD junior RB Bryce Love who was unanimous selections.

Four other Pac-12 football players were consensus selections – WASHINGTON STATE senior OL Cody O’Connell, UTAH junior PK Matt Gay, WASHINGTON senior RET/AP Dante Pettis, and WASHINGTON STATE junior DL Hercules Mata’afa.

It marks the 11th consecutive season that the Pac-12 has had a unanimous selection, and now have had 10 unanimous selections over the past four seasons. Over the last six seasons, 32 Pac-12 players have earned either unanimous or consensus All-America status.

Only the Big 12 and Big Ten Conferences had more consensus selections than the Pac-12 with six each.

To earn consensus honors, one must be selected first team on at least three of the five All-America teams and be listed on the most first-team All-America teams relative to other players at that position. For positions with more than one player represented on the first team, a corresponding number of players may earn a consensus billing. The organizations used in the consensus chart - American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), Associated Press (AP), Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), The Sporting News (SN), and Walter Camp Football Foundation (WC).
