Stanford

We have a couple of bowl games for you Thursday night kicking off at 6 p.m. PT, so let’s get it started with an Alamo Bowl preview courtesy of USA TODAY Sports, as the Cardinal takes on TCU in San Antonio on ESPN.

Washington State

And here’s a USA TODAY Sports preview of the Holiday Bowl featuring Washington State and Michigan State. You can watch this one on FOX Sports 1.

Arizona

Arizona lost to Purdue 38-35 in the Foster Farms Bowl Wednesday night in Santa Clara, and Tom Fornelli of CBS Sports writes that Purdue used trick plays and big plays to get past the Wildcats. How about that fake kneel-down near the end of the first half?

USC

The Cotton Bowl is just around the corner, and Joey Kaufman of The Orange County Register writes that Sam Darnold’s collegiate career could end where it started – at AT&T Stadium. Darnold will lead the Trojans onto the Arlington, Texas, field against Ohio State Friday and began his career at AT&T Stadium in the 2016 opener against Alabama when he replaced Max Browne. Will he declare for the NFL Draft after the Cotton Bowl?

UCLA

Somehow this became a headline – UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen said he’d rather be a lower draft pick if it meant being on a team that was a better fit for him. I mean, wouldn’t anyone want that?

Arizona State

It’s a little outdated, but still an enjoyable read from The Washington Post’s John Feinstein on Bobby Hurley putting Arizona State men’s basketball on the national map. Arizona-Arizona State sure is gonna be a juicy one on Saturday.

Oregon

With conference play also beginning on the women’s side, Tom FitzGerald tells us that Oregon and UCLA look like the strongest teams in the Pac-12. The Ducks have defeated Texas A&M twice, while UCLA has taken down big, bad Baylor.

California

Rusty Simmons lets us know that Cal women’s basketball has had success despite not getting the best out of Kristine Anigwe, who scored just two points in the win at Kentucky and didn’t play against BYU. Good depth for this 20th-ranked 9-2 squad.

Colorado

Pat Rooney reports that Colorado men’s basketball forward Tory Miller-Stewart is still weighing his options for his future with the team. Miller-Stewart started the first six games of the year before suffering a season-ending injury. Will he come back to Boulder? Go pro? Grad transfer?

Washington

Percy Allen of The Seattle Times reviews the money Washington men’s basketball spent and received on non-conference games. The Huskies got $90,000 to beat Kansas and paid out $773,000 to 10 non-conference foes (including an exhibition game).

Oregon State

The Associated Press's Anne M. Peterson pens a nice piece about how Mikayla Pivec has matured in her second year with No. 17 Oregon State. In addition to being a guard for Scott Rueck, the sophomore also throws the javelin for the Beavers' track & field program.

Utah

Dirk Facer of the Deseret News looks at Utah’s livestreaming program, which includes tennis player Lexie Petrovic doing color commentating, postgame highlights and podcasts.
