Washington defensive lineman and Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year Vita Vea has declared for the NFL Draft, he announced on Twitter Monday (The Associated Press).

Washington State

Washington State defensive tackle Hercules Mata’afa declared for the NFL Draft, he announced on Twitter Sunday. Theo Lawson of The Spokesman-Review has more regarding the All-American’s decision.

Utah

Former Oregon State head coach and former Utah player and assistant coach Gary Andersen was named Utah football associate head coach and defensive assistant, the university announced Tuesday. Schools can have a 10th assistant coach beginning Jan. 9, so Andersen’s hiring doesn’t mean some other assistant is losing a job as a result.

Oregon

With a 24-point, 14-rebound, 10-assist outing against Washington, Oregon basketball guard Sabrina Ionescu broke the NCAA record for career triple-doubles with her eighth (NCAA.com). Getting one triple-double with a 40-minute game and 30-second shot clock is extremely difficult, getting eight (in just 48 games) is ridiculous.

Stanford

Stanford women’s basketball’s Brittany McPhee was named espnW National Player of the Week as she scored a combined 47 points in wins over UCLA and USC to help the Cardinal get back in the AP poll at No. 24.

Colorado

Brian Howell reports that Colorado football is close to hiring Kurt Roper as its new quarterbacks coach. The 45-year-old Roper has been an offensive coordinator at Duke, Florida and South Carolina.

Arizona

Following the impressive win over Arizona State, Arizona men’s basketball moved up to No. 14 in the AP Top 25 poll (Arizona Daily Star).

Arizona State

Arizona State men’s basketball was the last undefeated team in the nation before losing to Arizona Saturday night in Tucson. As Kyle Boone of CBS Sports points out, this is the first time since at least 1948 that every NCAA Division I men’s basketball program had at least one loss before January.

USC

Former USC basketball star DeMar DeRozan scored a Toronto Raptors franchise-record 52 points to lead the dinosaurs to a 131-127 overtime win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday (Toronto Star).

UCLA

Bruinsnation.com reports that longtime assistant coach Angus McClure will return to UCLA football in 2018. McClure will be entering his 12th season in Westwood making Chip Kelly the fourth head coach he's worked under during that span.

Oregon State

Danny Moran gives us the game recap from Oregon State men’s basketball’s 66-64 loss to Utah Sunday at Gill Coliseum.
