Roundup: Arizona fires Rich Rodriguez amid sexual harassment allegations

Arizona

Arizona has fired football coach Rich Rodriguez as a result of a sexual harassment allegation and lawsuit to be filed against the university that he created a hostile workplace environment. In a post on Twitter, Rodriguez admitted to having an extramarital affair but refuted the sexual harassment allegations. Kyle Bonagura has more in the link.

Stanford

Stanford tight end Dalton Schultz is entering the NFL Draft, he announced Tuesday. The all-Pac-12 tight end caught 22 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns in 2017.

Arizona State

Arizona State defensive lineman JoJo Wicker is declaring for the NFL Draft, he told The Arizona Republic. Doug Haller has the statement and more details in the link.

Oregon State

Oregon State running back Ryan Nall will enter the NFL Draft, he announced Tuesday. Nall leaves the Beavs eighth all-time in career rushing yards at Oregon State.

UCLA

UCLA left tackle Kolton Miller is declaring for the NFL Draft and signed with the sports agency Octagon, Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Times reports.

USC

USC men’s basketball forward Chimezie Metu has been suspended for a half and stripped of his role as team captain after hitting Washington State’s Carter Skaggs below the belt. Kyle Boone of CBS Sports has more.

Washington State

According to a report from Cougfan.com and linked here by Coug Center, Washington State quarterback Luke Falk played most of the 2017 season with a broken wrist suffered against Boise State. That’s one tough dude.

Oregon

Unsurprisingly, Oregon women’s basketball guard Sabrina Ionescu was named Pac-12 Player of the Week, while her teammate Satou Sabally was named Pac-12 Freshman of the week. Ionescu registered her NCAA record eighth career triple-double, while Sabally averaged 13.5 points per game in the wins over the Washington schools.

Washington

Isaiah Thomas exploded for 17 points in 19 minutes in his Cleveland Cavaliers debut Tuesday night to help the Cavs to a 127-110 win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

California
