• No. 8/9 OREGON and No. 18/23 ARIZONA STATE top the Pac-12 standings after the first two weeks of league play, both getting off to a 4-0 start. They could play for the league lead this week with a scheduled clash on Sunday, Jan. 14 on Pac-12 Network. Both have the longest active win streak going into the week, the Ducks winning their last seven and the Sun Devils riding a six-game win streak.

• Every Pac-12 women’s basketball game is televised this week on Pac-12 Network beginning on Friday and wrapping up on Sunday. The Sun Devils open the week at No. 22/21 OREGON STATE in what should be a defensive battle. Both lead the league in scoring defense, ASU limiting opponents to 56.3 points per game, while the Beavs’ opponents are averaging 56.5 ppg.

• Five Pac-12 teams are ranked in at least one national poll and three others are receiving votes. The Ducks lead the way with a ninth-straight top-10 ranking, coming in at No. 8 in the Associated Press poll and No. 9 in the USA Today Coaches poll. UCLA is ranked 14th in both polls, and ASU is No. 18 in the AP and No. 23 in the coaches. OSU is No. 22/21 and CALIFORNIA is ranked No. 24 by the writers and receiving votes in the coaches’ ranking. STANFORD, USC and UTAH are also receiving votes in one or both polls.

• WASHINGTON STATE’s Borislava Hristova was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week after averaging 32.5 points per game last week, which included a 39-point effort. She is the first Coug since Dec. 2014 to earn the honor. Stanford’s Kiana Williams was voted Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, the first Cardinal to earn the award since current teammate Brittany McPhee won it in Feb. 2015.

• Oregon’s 4-0 start to league play is its best since the start of the 2000-01 campaign.

• Three Pac-12 teams are ranked in the top 20 in the nation in rebounding average, COLORADO leading the way at No. 10 with an average of 44.93 rpg. Stanford (44.56) and Oregon State (43.93) are 14th and 17th, respectively.

• Leading the nation in statistical categories are ASU’s Reili Richardson who boasts the best assist-to-turnover ratio in the nation at 4.63, and Oregon’s Sabrina Ionescu, who boasts four triple-doubles this season.

• UCLA’s Jordin Canada is on pace to become the first player in Conference history to get 1,700 points and 700 assists. The All-American candidate ranks fifth all-time in assists and steals in Pac-12 history. Fellow senior teammate Monique Billings is looking to become the 21st player in league history with 1,000 rebounds, entering the week with 958.
