Former Arizona State star James Harden became the first player in NBA history to have a 60-point triple-double, going for 60 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in the Houston Rockets’ 114-107 win over the Orlando Magic. His 60 points also broke the Rockets’ single-game scoring record (Calvin Murphy scored 57 in 1978).

Utah

One other pro sports note – the Kansas City Chiefs have reached an agreement to trade Alex Smith to the Washington Redskins, with the Chiefs receiving a third-round pick and cornerback Kendall Fuller. Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star has more.

USC

Andy Staples and Chris Johnson of Sports Illustrated believe that USC should be the most interesting team to follow on National Signing Day. The Trojans always seem to get at least a couple of big unsigned guys ever year on National Signing Day.

UCLA

Washington State

Speaking of Don MacLean, check out his Arizona-Washington State men’s basketball preview. You can catch this game Wednesday night at 7 p.m. PT/8 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Networks.

Colorado

Pat Rooney lets us know that Colorado men’s basketball sophomore Deleon Brown has been battling the flu the last couple of weeks, and it has considerably affected his game.

Oregon State

Writing for The Oregonian/OregonLive, Ron Richmond pens this piece on how Oregon State baseball is handling the No. 2 preseason ranking. They don’t care much about it, it sounds like.
