Arizona

What a Super Bowl 52, huh? The game had all sorts of Pac-12 fingerprints on it, none bigger than former Arizona quarterback Nick Foles being named Super Bowl MVP after throwing for 373 yards and three touchdowns (not to mention a touchdown reception) to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a 41-33 triumph over the New England Patriots. Check out this column from Dan Wetzel on Nick Foles’ rise from backup quarterback to Super Bowl MVP.

Oregon

Former Duck LeGarrette Blount had a big game, rushing for 90 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries to help the Eagles to victory. Andrew Greif points out that Blount’s third ring ties him for the most Super Bowls won by a former Duck, alongside Derek Loville and Mike Walter. Blount won his first two as a member of the Patriots.

Oregon State

Unfortunately, former Beaver and current Pat Brandin Cooks had to leave the Super Bowl with a head injury after getting leveled by Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins.

Washington State

Patrick Chun has officially started his tenure as Director of Athletics for Washington State. WSUCougars.com posted a letter from Chun on Monday, his first day on the job.

Stanford

What a game this was – Brittany McPhee scored 33 points, including the last 19 of the game, to lead No. 24 Stanford women’s basketball to a 78-65 upset at No. 6 Oregon to get into a tie for first place in the Pac-12. This was one of those special performances you won’t forget if you saw it in person like yours truly.

Washington

Finish of the weekend right here – Dominic Green hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to lift Washington men’s basketball to a 78-75 win over No. 9 Arizona Saturday night in Seattle. Who’da thunk that the Dawgs would be sniffing an NCAA tournament bid in February?

Arizona State

Here are your highlights from Arizona State men’s basketball’s 88-78 win at Washington State (pac-12.com). The Sun Devils get the road split, but eventually they’re going to have to sweep a weekend or two.

UCLA

Former UCLA great Reggie Miller spoke with the Bruins’ men’s basketball team after the 82-79 win over USC, notes Thuc Nhi Nguyen.

California

The nine-game losing streak is finally over – Cal men’s basketball downed Oregon State 74-70 to stop a nine-game losing skid (San Francisco Chronicle). Hat tip to Kingsley Okoroh for his 14-point, 12-rebound, five-block effort.

Colorado

Brian Howell writes that Colorado women’s basketball’s postseason hopes are fading after losing to Utah 78-74 Sunday afternoon in Boulder. The Buffs are 12-11 and need to pick up some more wins if they want to get back to the WNIT.

USC

Joey Kaufman gives us this feature on USC women’s basketball guard Jordan Adams, who is in her sixth year in Troy and helping the Trojans make a push for the NCAA tournament.

Utah

Utah gymnastics downed Washington 197.7-196.25 in front of 15,558 Red Rocks fans Saturday, and here’s a recap from The Salt Lake Tribune to let you know what happened in the meet.
