Washington

The Seattle Times columnist Matt Calkins believes that Washington men’s basketball has a shot at winning the Pac-12 regular season title. The Dawgs are third in the Pac-12, a game and a half back of 9-2 Arizona (and the Huskies own the tiebreaker).

Arizona

It’s National Signing Day, and Kevin Sumlin got a nice bump Wednesday morning when four-star defensive end Adam Plant Jr. signed with Arizona. Michael Lev has this live blog link (the preceding link) that will update as the day goes on.

USC

This has been talked about forever, but quarterback JT Daniels officially signed with USC on Wednesday (Los Angeles Daily News). The Mater Dei junior is trying to graduate high school a year early and enroll at USC by training camp.

Colorado

Brian Howell has the skinny on the two Colorado football signees inked to the 2018 recruiting class Wednesday morning – outside linebacker Alex Tchangam (JUCO transfer) and running back Travon McMillian (Virginia Tech transfer).

Washington State

Theo Lawson provides us with this Washington State football National Signing Day thread, so be sure to check up on this early and often.

California

Jon Wilner lists some potential candidates for the Cal athletic director job. Tennis coach Peter Wright and former Oakland Raiders CEO Amy Trask are mentioned (this doesn’t mean they are actually interested in the job).

Oregon State

The Pac-12 reprimanded Oregon State women’s basketball coach Scott Rueck for comments he made about officiating following Friday night’s loss to Stanford.

Stanford

The honors keep rolling in: Brittany McPhee was named US Basketball Writers Association and Naismith Trophy Player of the Week for her stellar weekend up in Oregon.

Oregon

Meant to get to this on Tuesday, but Oregon softball was picked to the win the Pac-12 in the preseason coaches poll, with UCLA slotted for second and Washington third.

Arizona State

Arizona State's Herm Edwards says his team will practice at “Camp Kush,” his name for Camp Tontozona. #NewLeadershipModel

UCLA

Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Times writes that there’s no beef between Steve Alford and Sean Miller. There were some timeout kerfuffles last year when UCLA and Arizona played.

Utah

Lya Wodraska of The Salt Lake Tribune writes that vault is a strong suit for Utah gymnastics this year. The Red Rocks are second in the nation in the event with a 49.455 average, trailing only Oklahoma (49.494).
