Oregon

Oregon women’s basketball guard Sabrina Ionescu was named an Associated Press All-American, it was announced Monday morning. Of course, I’m sure Sabrina is more concerned with the Ducks’ Elite Eight bout with Notre Dame Monday night.

Utah

Utah athletic director Chris Hill announced his retirement Monday, Christopher Kamrani of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Hill has been the AD at Utah for 31 years.

UCLA

The Ducks are the last Pac-12 women’s team standing. On Sunday, UCLA lost to Mississippi State 89-73 in the Elite Eight (Los Angeles Daily News). Jordin Canada led the way with 23 points despite spraining her left elbow in the second quarter.

Oregon State

Before UCLA lost, Oregon State was blown out by Louisville, losing 76-43 (The Oregonian). Still a great season for the Beavers, reaching the Elite Eight after upsetting Baylor.

Washington

Interesting twist here – former Washington quarterback KJ Carta-Samuels is actually heading to Colorado State as a graduate transfer instead of going to UCLA as originally expected. Thuc Nhi Nguyen has more in the link.

California

Check out this Pac-12 Sports Report feature on former Cal rugby player Robert Paylor, who was paralyzed from the chest down as the result of an on-field injury. Definitely worth all 17 minutes and 56 seconds of your time.

Arizona

Arizona baseball head coach Jay Johnson won his 100th game at Arizona as the Wildcats defeated Washington State 9-2 to clinch the series (Arizona Daily Star).

Stanford

Former Stanford offensive lineman Cameron Fleming is signing with the Dallas Cowboys on a one-year, $3.5 million deal (NBC Sports Boston, through Yahoo Sports). Fleming previously battled in the trenches for the New England Patriots.

USC

USC men’s basketball has added Eric Mobley to its coaching staff, the program announced Saturday. As Kyle Boone of CBS Sports notes, Mobley is the father of two top-40 recruits, Isaiah and Evan.

Washington State

Mark Sandritter of CougCenter lets us know where Washington State players might go in the latest NFL mock drafts. One projection has quarterback Luke Falk going in the second round.

Arizona State

Doug Haller writes that the Arizona State football defense is starting from square one in the spring. It will be a 3-3-5 scheme.

Colorado

Colorado football likes its depth at inside linebacker, notes Brian Howell.
