The Pac-12 Conference will be well represented in the 2018 NCAA Women’s Golf Championships, as ten teams were selected to compete in the NCAA Regionals, which will take place May 7-9.

Six Pac-12 teams earned a seed of No. 4 or higher, including Pac-12 Champion UCLA, which earned a No. 1 seed in the San Francisco Regional (TPC Harding Park, San Francisco, Calif.). USC, the Pac-12 runner-up, is the No. 2 seed in the Madison Regional (University Ridge Golf Course, Madison, Wis.). Number 15 ranked Arizona State, will also be participating in the Madison Regional after securing the No. 3 seed. A third Pac-12 institution will be in the Madison Regional after Oregon State earned the No. 14 seed. Stanford, ranked number six in the nation, earned the No. 2 seed in the San Francisco Regional. Joining UCLA and Stanford in San Francisco will be Colorado (No. 7 seed), Cal (No. 11 seed), and Oregon (No. 14 seed).  In the Tallahassee Regional, the Pac-12 will have two top-20 ranked teams in Arizona and Washington, which earned the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds respectively.

Individually, Washington State’s Alivia Brown will compete in the San Francisco Regional. Brown will aim to make it back-to-back individual titles for the Pac-12 Conference, after Monica Vaughn (ASU) won the title last year.

NCAA Championships Format

All 24 teams and 12 individuals advancing from regional play will complete 54-holes of stroke play. Upon completing 54 holes of competition, the top 15 teams and top 9 individuals, who are not on an advancing team, will advance for one additional day of stroke play to determine the top eight teams for match-play, as well as the 72-hole individual champion. The top eight teams will be placed into a bracket and participate in match-play competition. A total of five points will be available, with one point being awarded for each individual match. Winning teams will advance to the semifinals and subsequently, the finals. The first team to win three points within the team match will advance.
