SAN FRANCISCO - The Pac-12 Conference office announced today that WASHINGTON’s Joe Wainhouse was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week and OREGON STATE’s Luke Heimlich was tabbed Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week.

Pac-12 Baseball Player of the Week: Joe Wainhouse, Sr., INF/RHP, Washington (Kent, Wash.)
• Wainhouse helped Washington to a series win versus No. 11 UCLA, as the Huskies took two of three games (3-7, 13-6, 6-4) to move into a tie for third place in the Conference standings with the Bruins.
• The senior went 7-for-14 with three home runs, seven RBIs and five runs for a 1.214 slugging percentage and .533 on base percentage.
• Hit the series-clinching, two-run home run in the 11th inning for a 6-4 victory on Sunday, marking his third homer in two days and fifth in as many games.
• Played a critical role in Game 2, going 4-for-5 at the plate with two home runs, five RBIs and four runs scored, including a three-run homer that extended the Huskies lead to 7-2 in the fifth inning.
• Earns first Pac-12 Player of the Week honor this season and Washington 60th all-time player nod.

Pac-12 Baseball Pitcher of the Week: Luke Heimlich, Sr., LHP, Oregon State (Puyallup, Wash.)
• Heimlich helped No. 3 Oregon State upset No. 2 Stanford, 6-2, last Friday with his nation-leading 12th win of the season, which ties for the fifth-best single-season mark in program history.
• Heimlich has earned three pitching awards in a single season for the second consecutive year (2017: Feb. 21, April 24, May 8; 2018: March 26, April 16) and ties for the sixth-most weekly pitching honors in Conference history.
• Struck out a career-best 14 batters to open the series and allowed just three hits and two runs in eight innings.
• Has totaled 115 strikeouts this season for the most among all Conference pitchers and is only 16 shy of tying the Beavers’ single season record.
• In his last five starts, Heimlich has posted a perfect 5-0 record and tallied 58 strikeouts in 37 innings while holding his opponents to 11 scored runs, 22 hits and five walks.
