USC

Spring championships season is in full effect, and USC women’s water polo won the NCAA title by defeating Stanford 5-4 on Sunday in its home pool. Goalkeeper Amanda Longan was named NCAA Tournament MVP in helping lead the Trojans to their sixth natty.

Colorado

The first full season of Pac-12 women’s lacrosse is in the books after Colorado lost to Florida 13-9 in the second round (CUBuffs.com) of the NCAA Championship Sunday in Gainesville. The Buffs held a 5-0 lead early on, marking the first time in program history that they lost a game in which they led by at least five goals.

UCLA

From the pool to the courts, UCLA men’s tennis is off to the Round of 16 after blanking San Diego 4-0. Get this: It’s the 42nd straight year that the Bruins have made it at least this far in the NCAA Championships.

Stanford

While the men were upset by Ole Miss, Stanford women’s tennis advanced to the Sweet 16 by defeating Michigan 4-0, buoyed by a hard-fought doubles point.

Oregon

NCAA softball regionals begin this week, and Pac-12 champion Oregon earned the No. 1 overall seed. The 44-7 Ducks open regional play Thursday against Albany.

Arizona

Meanwhile, Arizona softball will host a regional as the No. 14 seed and will open up postseason action against St. Francis (Pa.) on Friday night (Arizona Daily Star).

Washington

Washington swept the Pac-12 Men’s and Women’s Rowing Championships, edging out Cal on both sides.

Washington State

Washington State freshman Sander Moldau won the men’s pole vault title at the Pac-12 Championships over the weekend, clearing 17-feet 2 1/4 inches to take home the crown in the event.

Oregon State

In the finale of the biggest college baseball series of the weekend, Oregon State lost to Stanford in 10 innings on Sunday but took the series from the Cardinal to improve to 16-7-1 in league action (still looking up at the Cardinal). Now, the Beavers are No. 2 in the polls and Stanford is No. 3.

Arizona State

Good story here from Doug Haller about how James Harden “foreshadowed his basketball future” while playing at Arizona State. The likely 2018 NBA MVP, Harden is gearing up for the Western Conference Finals with Houston as the Rockets take on the defending-champion Golden State Warriors.

California

Former Golden Bear Jaylen Brown scored 23 points to lead the Boston Celtics to an impressive 108-83 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals Sunday afternoon (Bleacher Report).

Utah

Lynn Worthy features Utah softball senior third baseman Heather Bowen in this article. The Utes were one of two Pac-12 teams not to make the NCAAs alongside Stanford, so Bowen’s collegiate career has come to a close.
