Arizona State

Seven Pac-12 softball teams in all are participating in the NCAA postseason, and Jeff Metcalfe writes about the pivotal role freshman Danielle Gibson has played for Arizona State. Three years after a surgeon suggested she quit softball due to a severe left knee injury, Gibson was named first-team All-Pac-12 en route to the Sun Devils earning the No. 8 seed for the NCAA Tournament.

California

The Golden Bears' chances to advance took an early hit, losing to Northwestern 3-2 in eight innings in the Athens Regional. They now face the loser of Georgia-Harvard Saturday at 2 p.m. PT.

USC

Oregon State

Colorado

Kevin McGuire of NBC Sports lets us know that Colorado and Colorado State have a “handshake agreement” to continue playing each other in football. The Buffs and Rams don’t have any games officially scheduled against each other beyond 2020, but per the Daily Camera, there is something of an agreement to play each other in 2023 and 2024.

UCLA

Pac-12 men’s basketball scheduling has had some nice highlights recently. Utah just agreed to a two-game set with Kentucky, and now UCLA will play North Carolina in Las Vegas on Dec. 21, 2019 as part of the CBS Sports Classic.

Washington State

After nabbing a Freshman All-American from West Virginia earlier in the week, Washington State is adding former East Carolina starting quarterback Gardner Minshew as a graduate transfer (CBS Sports).

Death, taxes and Stanford women’s tennis defeating a higher-seeded team in the NCAA Tournament – 15th-seeded Stanford women’s tennis upset second-seeded North Carolina 4-1 Thursday in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, sweeping singles after losing the doubles point.

Utah

This could be a link for a ton of Pac-12 schools, but we’ll put the Utah logo next to this one – former Utah football staffer Dennis Erickson will be the head coach of the Salt Lake City team in the Alliance of American Football league (AAF), which will start up in February 2019 (The Salt Lake Tribune).

Washington

Washington baseball defeated Utah 6-4 Thursday in Salt Lake City, and our Thad Anderson and JT Snow have the recap for us.
