All four Pac-12 teams have completed their opening rounds at the 2018 NCAA Men's Golf Championships at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Due to multiple weather delays earlier in the day, the first round did not finish on Friday, with half of the 30 teams needing to complete their first 18 holes on Saturday morning.

After the third round (scheduled to be completed on Sunday, though we'll see how the weather cooperates), the field will be cut down to the lowest 15 teams and lowest nine individuals from non-qualifying teams. From there, the remaining participants will play a final round of stroke play to determine the eight teams to advance to the match-play portion of the event as well as crown an individual champion. The match-play quarterfinals and semifinals are scheduled to take place on Tuesday, with the match-play finals going down Wednesday.

Stanford

Stanford steadied itself after an inauspicious start to fire an opening-round 4-over 292. At the time of this writing, that is good for a tie for 14th. After two golfers registered a triple-bogey and quintuple-bogey on the opening hole (the par-4 10th), the Cardinal began to put some red numbers on the board. Brandon Wu leads the way for Stanford after carding a 3-under 69, bogeying the final hole after getting to 4-under with a birdie on No. 5. Buoyed by an eagle on No. 1, Isaiah Salinda also turned in an under-par round by shooting 71 (-1).

UCLA

Cole Madey's 2-under 70 paced the Bruins, who are in the clubhouse at 7 over and currently alone in 25th place. Starting on the 10th hole, Madey birdied three of his first five holes before bogeying the 18th and scoring par on every hole on the front nine. Madey was the only Bruin under par, as Eddy Lai and Devon Bling both shot 2 over and Hidetoshi Yoshihara got in with a 77 (+5).

Arizona State

One stroke behind the Bruins is Arizona State (+8), and the opening-round 296 has the Sun Devils currently tied for 26th. Chun An Yu led the charge for ASU, fighting back from bogeys on his first two holes to shoot 3 under and get himself into a tie for ninth on the player leaderboard. An eagle and five birdies helped offset a trio of double-bogeys for Alex del Rey, who finished his round at even par. Unfortunately for the Sun Devils, they had to count a 77 and 78 for their team score, as Koichiro Ishika's quintuple-bogey on the par-4 10th set the tone for an opening-round 80.

Oregon

Oregon matched Arizona State's score of 8-over to get into a three-way tie for 26th that also includes Arkansas for the time being. Jack Nicklaus Player of the Year Award finalist Norman Xiong lived up to his billing on Friday, carding a 4-under 68 that has the super sophomore currently tied for fifth and just one shot off the lead. Even par through 10 following a double-bogey (that had to be the toughest hole of the day by far), Xiong birdied 11, 12, 14 and 18 to get to 68 for the day. Unfortunately for head coach Casey Martin's sake, Xiong was the only Duck under par, with Donald Kay's 2-over 74 being the next lowest round for Oregon.

Arizona

Arizona's George Cunningham finished half his opening round, shooting even par on the front nine with a birdie on No. 5 and a bogey on the par-5th ninth.
