Oregon State

It was quite a Super Regional weekend if you’re a Pac-12 baseball fan (which we’re guessing you are if you’re reading this), as both Oregon State and Washington have advanced to the College World Series. On the Beavers’ side of things, Oregon State swept Minnesota, getting a two-run single from Adley Rutschman in the ninth inning of Game 2 to help the Beavers beat Minnesota 6-3 to get to Omaha (The Oregonian/OregonLive).

Washington

Oregon State’s weekend was considerably less nerve-racking than Washington’s, as the Huskies erased ninth and 10th-inning deficits in Game 3 to defeat Cal State Fullerton and earn their first College World Series appearance in program history (The Seattle Times).

Oregon

A group of Oregon hoopers have led the USA women’s 3-on-3 team to an undefeated record in pool play and into the quarterfinals of the 2018 FIBA 3x3 Basketball World Cup in the Philippines (ABS-CBN News). Sabrina Ionescu, Ruthy Hebard, Erin Boley and Oti Gildon have so far led the Yanks to wins over Iran, Andorra, Uganda and defending-champion Russia.

California

Cal’s Collin Morikawa was named Golfweek Men’s Player of the Year, the publication announced Sunday. Morikawa was the No. 1 ranked golfer nationally in the last collegiate individual rankings by Golfweek/Sagarin.

Arizona
